MiaSanta Claus skipped me this year. After living together all my life, my owners surrendered me to the HSHC on December 10. Santa's list said, "Mia does not play well with others." But I would like to explain my side of things. I'm a fun-loving gal, and I thought it would be a hoot to stalk the other cat in our house and then jump out to surprise her! She was scared no matter how I tried to engage her in my shenanigans. She decided to avoid me at all times. She runs and hides whenever she spots me. That is a big buzz-kill. I can also get overly excited with affectionate attention and playtime with my owner. I keep forgetting that "love bites" are not appreciated by her. So here I am, 5-years-old, and looking for a new residence. Because of my overstimulation quirk, kids ten and older would best suit me. Until now, the interviewer lady has given me a wide berth. But today, when she opened my door, I let her pet me. Not for very long, but I welcomed her. Then, I began to eat my lunch and permitted her to give me a few more pets. An owner who fluently speaks feline will understand my excitement limitations and how to deal with them. I really am a lovely cat, just a little high-strung.
