Chowder is a sweet, gentle girl who will make a wonderful companion. She is quiet and calm and loves to sit next to you and follow you around the house. She is most content when she is near you being brushed or pet. She can co exist with another cat but it is not going to be a playmate. She is more of a lounger than a player. Chowder takes a daily med which is very easy to administer to this sweetheart. Chowder was born around 12/01/2018.Adoption processOnce you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend an online group seminar on cat care. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older. All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered.
