He enjoys the company of other friendly felines, with his other hobbies including bird watching and delicious canned food. Freddy came to Ten Lives from Tennessee and was described as shy and gentle. Oh, and a good grandpa to kittens. He definitely is shy when you first meet him, but once he understands that you’re there to give him scratches and attention he willingly comes out for them.He would be great in a home that would give him the time to blossom. He has already started exploring his foster home and having some zoomies after only being there for a weekFreddy would love a laid back, quiet home that can give him the bit of room he needs to settle in and get comfy. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.Adoption processAll potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.Shelter locationAll Ten Lives cats are located in foster homes throughout Rhode Island and available for meet and greets after an approved adoption application. You can also find some of our adoptable cats at the PetSmart in Warwick, RI.
