Hello, Iandamp;#39;m Harriet. I was fending for myself outside at an apartment complex and one of the neighbors befriended me and brought me to the shelter. My luxurious long fur had become severely matted, so right now I have a summer hair cut, but it will grow back as beautiful as ever! Being on my own, and now in a new strange place is very scary, so I just donandamp;#39;t know what to make of it all yet. However, I do love being petted and I especially love those Churu treats they feed me! Just give me a little grace and patience and we can be the best of friends!Adoption processHours: Monday - Tuesday (by appointment only) | 11 am - 6 pmWednesday - Friday | 12 pm - 7 pmSaturday - Sunday | 11am - 7pm Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day. We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19. Adoption Requirements:- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.Shelter locationWe are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 12-7PM. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18.-Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings.
