Hercules was once a shy and timid boy who seemed as if the "feral cat life" suited him better than indoor house cat life. Hercules came in near the beginning of March and has made so much progress warming up to humans that we think he'd make a wonderful indoor companion. Hercules has gone through a lot in his rough past, but he's ready to put his best paw forward and find his new furever home. Hercules is around 3 years old. He doesn't seem to mind some of the other cats here at the shelter. We believe he'd do better with dogs if he wasn't in a kennel, but even behind the kennel he wasn't outwardly aggressive when a dog walked through the cat room. We believe Hercules could adjust to life with other animals if given the chance. If you have other pets, a trial adoption might be the way to go with Hercules! Hercules is making progress every day! He's still working on being picked up by humans, but he enjoys getting pets and scratches from the safety of his kennel. He seems to enjoy laying around and relaxing in true lazy cat fashion.
