Hi there, Iandamp;#39;m Lea!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I came to Great Plains SPCA from another shelter, which was very scary for me! The shelter was an overwhelming place for a shy cat like me, but my foster home has helped me come out of my shell. andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m learning to trust people, especially if you give me treats! I can get easily overwhelmed by loud noises and sudden movement, so a quiet home with older kids is a better fit for me. I donandamp;#39;t mind other cats though! andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I am finding my voice and will give you very squeaky quiet meows when I say hello to you. I may be an adult cat, but I still have kitten energy and would love to play with you! My favorite toys are anything I can chase! Iandamp;#39;m very independent and donandamp;#39;t mind entertaining myself too. I love lounging on my cat tree and watching the birds outside. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Does your home seem like a good fit for me? Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day. We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19. Adoption Requirements:- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.Shelter locationWe are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 12-7PM. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18.-Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings.
