Mabel, American Shorthair For Adoption In Tampa, Florida
Location:
Tampa, FL
Description:
Mabel is one of Minnie's 4 kittens that was being taken care of by a sweet couple. As the kittens grew, they realized they needed helped and reached out to Tampa Bay Strays. Mabel is the little tabby girl of the group. She is a pretty little girl with adorable stripes and stunning personaility to match. She is very sweet, playful and adventerous. ** Mabel had a faint POSITIVE result for her FELV test. Her entire family tested negative and because it was so faint, we think she might be showing a false positive. Recommend retesting at 6 months of age, but treating as a positive in the meantime. Mabel should be housed as an only cat for now, until test is confirmed at 6 months or she tests negative. FELV is a cat virus only is NOT contagious to people or dogs, and a cat-friendly doggo may be a great match for this little girl to play with! FELV cats can live long lives as long as they're kept indoors and not exposed to sick animals, as they have weakened immune systems.##2172103##Adoption processTampa Bay Strays is a network of foster homes, and all animals are under the care of a foster.
