Meet Maki! Are you looking for the sweetest, cuddliest little lap cat? Maki is a handsome young tabby boy with the energy of a kitten. He loves attention and affection! He is happiest when cuddling with his human friends! He is a lap cat and has a loud purr to show how happy he is! He is also very chatty when he wants food and is excited to see you when you come home. He loves to criss cross between your legs when following you around the house! Maki prefers not to share with other animals. He wants to be the one and only, so he would do best in a quieter home with no other pets. But he is not shy and loves meeting new people! He happily rubs on any new guests’ legs as he asks for belly rubs. He can be sensitive to change though as he was abandoned by his previous owner, and this was traumatic to him. He will do well with adults and older teenage children. Maki is very playful! He loves boxes, an interactive game of wand toy, or will entertain himself chasing sparkly balls or plastic springs. His favorite toy is actually a sushi catnip filled kicker toy (that’s what inspired his name)! He also loves doing zoomies down the hallway. And when he’s done playing, he’ll sit perched by the window, peering out to people watch! He eats both wet & dry food and has excellent litter box habits. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.
