Morticia & Gomez, Domestic Longhair For Adoption In Arlington, Vermont

Location:
Arlington, VT
Description:

Morticia and Gomez are a brother-sister, 5 month old bonded pair that was brought to SCAC during a TNR and they stayed to find their forever home. Morticia is more outgoing than Gomez and is usually the first one you'll gain the trust of. Gomez relies on his sister for emotional support. Once they are comfortable they are just like your ordinary kittens. They enjoy feather toys, spring toys, tents, and tunnels. Treats are a way to earn their trust along with consistency. They can live with older, respectful children and possibly another friendly feline with proper introduction. We believe they would be too shy to live with a feline savvy dog. For more information on this lovely bonded pair, contact our facility or our Feline Coordinator at x304.Please visit the following link on our website to learn about Second Chance's adoption process. http://www.2ndchanceanimalcenter.org/adoption.html June 7, 2024, 12:47 pmAdoption processWhen you see an animal in our kennel or cattery that you are interested in, we will ask that you complete some paperwork (our "Adoption Application"). This paperwork must be completed first in order to minimize stress for you and the animals. Our process includes asking questions: asking for veterinary references-particularly when you have other animals at home. This is simply to protect the health of adoption candidates and the pets you already have. You will have a counseling session with one of our knowledgeable staff members who will fill you in on the history and needs of that animal, and his feeding and exercise requirements. You can ask your counselor any questions about spaying or neutering, housetraining, obedience training, scratching (in cats), veterinary care, how to deal with fleas and ticks, and anything else you can think of. If you are approved to adopt, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. This fee covers spaying or neutering, and the veterinary care, deworming and vaccines your pet has received at the shelter. You can find the Adopter's Profile on our website.Shelter locationOur shelter is located at 1779 VT Route 7A in Arlington, Vermont. The facility is a single-story building with parking in front.
