Meet Willow! She is a beautiful light gray tabby with charcoal gray stripes and flecks of fawn throughout her fur. She has a sweet fawn colored spot on the top of her head that looks like a kiss from her mama (a diluted orange tabby). Her fur is so soft, and is quite calming to pet while she is curled up in your lap. She runs to greet people whenever they open the door or walk in the room. She is good with other cats, kittens and children, with no exposure to dogs. She loves people and would do best where she has a human companion who is home or feline friend to keep her company. Born 3/2/2024 Our family took in her mother, a beautiful, affectionate lap kitty who was abandoned by her owner and already pregnant. We pampered her throughout her pregnancy, kept her safe and warm, and gave her some of her favorite foods … salmon pate. She gave birth to a litter of 6 healthy kittens in our mudroom. Our kids have absolutely loved caring for mama and her babies, and cuddling and playing with them daily. Mama nursed her kittens consistently until 11 weeks when we had to begin a gentle weaning process to prepare her for her spay procedure. Due to their time with their mom, these kittens have adjusted so well to each new stage of their lives. We cannot wait to share all the baby pictures with each kitten’s forever family. Our family is keeping two of the kittens and we want other families to get to experience how sweet these kittens are by adopting the other three into their homes (Fennel, Willow, and Pepper). Willow is a kitten who loves people. She would make a great companion for someone who wants a cat who will curl up in your lap when you sit down, or be by your side while you do tasks. She has a tendency to pull at every heartstring by staring lovingly at her human companions and waiting for a kiss on her head. Willow plays and wrestles with her siblings. She is curious and funny. She loves to lounge in our deep window sills, and I often find her snuggled up next to her siblings there in the sunshine. She loves cuddling up in small spaces and playing inside paper grocery bags that tip over. She is confident to go explore and then come back by to jump in your lap to check in. Willow is litter box trained and experienced with carriers. She and her litter mates have an easy routine for eating and nap times, making her fit right into family life. Willow has received her first round of vaccinations. She is not spayed yet but is now available as a Foster2Adopt until the completion of her spay and booster vaccinations, due after 7/4/24. Foster-to-adopt means you adopt and take the kitten home with you, and we pay for and arrange vaccinations and spay at a later date.
