You know the sound of an old car with a bad engine trying to start? That's the sound of this sweet, unassuming senior girl when she is blissing out. She just loves to purr, and you will hear her joy all the way down the hall once she gets going! She came to us as an underweight stray, and we are working to get her to a healthy weight again, but we suspect she will always be on the slim side. Gertie is an old gal with a mind of her own and is technically one of our house cats, but she enjoys taking herself outside for some fresh air when she feels like it. When she is inside, she enjoys stealing the seats of our staff and may begrudgingly snuggle when forced to share a seat with her human servants. She often looks like she is defiantly sticking her tongue out at you, but she can't help it... sometimes her tongue just gets stuck in the out position. That just makes her all the more charming and endearing. If you are looking for a quirky and funny old gal, come and check out Gertie!!
