Howard and his brother Larry were both turned in together from an elderly man's home to Chattooga County Animal Control. It was felt they were bonded because they were raised together. While they enjoy each other's company, they also don't mind heading out and exploring around the shelter on their own. However, when things get quite, they seek each other out and give each other comfort. They are becoming more and more comfortable with people. While they may not rush up to be loved, they really like it when approached quietly and they are given pets. They don't want to be picked up though.
