'Hot Lava' arrived as a stray. He is very overwhelmed with shelter life, spending most of his time tucked away in his condo. His initial response to people is to hiss, which for him means 'I'm scared'. Baby steps are key to earning the trust of a frightened animal. With a calm approach and a gentle reassuring voice, he softens and readily accepts love. In the right home, Hot Lava will make a very sweet companion. Hot Lava is approximately 3 years old and is FIV positive. He will need be the only pet in the home. Respectful children ages 14 and up would be best.
