Kilimanjaro (Killie for short) is a sweet little kitten. He follows his sister into trouble, though in a more cautious manner. Except when it comes to food, then he's always the first one to the bowl. He's actually a bit smaller than his sister but hunts and plays on par with her. He loves other cats and will play happily with them. He and his sister Denali are sweet kittens, who prefer to be in company of other cats, rather than being by themselves so must go to a home with another cat or together. They are super playful, surprising thier foster with their high jumps and acrobatics as they chase their "prey" on a string with thier boundless energy. They may start out seemingly shy but prepare to be serenaded with the sweetest tiny meows because breakfast, lunch, and dinner their hearts are won with food. Kilimanjaro was born around 5/3/2024.Adoption processOnce you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a Zoom group seminar on cat care. We invite both novice and experienced alike to attend. Then you would sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older. All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered.
