Well hello there, my name is Miss Peach! I’m a sweet, cuddly and sometimes sassy 9 year old girl looking for my just right, FINALLY forever home, the one I’ve been searching for all my life! I was brought in from outside as a kitten, and I stayed in my first home for a while, then I got adopted through the rescue by my most recent human. Unfortunately, when my human moved in with family who also had furkids, I did NOT do well. I have a strong dislike for other cats, and I was getting aggressive with my human due to my stress. My owner brought me back to the rescue, very sad to say goodbye to me, but knowing that I needed a different environment. My helpers at the rescue have spent a lot of time assessing me to determine what my triggers are and what I need in my forever home. Here’s what they say about me: “Miss Peach is an incredibly sweet girl with humans. The only time, since coming to rescue, that she has exhibited any swatting to people, is when other cats are close by, and she is therefore stressed. One on one, she loves to be petted, curl up on warm laps, and even be picked up (and she will politely let you know when she wants to be put back down please!) Miss Peach enjoys a good meal, and she especially likes wet food. She is such a sweet girl, and is so ready for a calm, loving family of her own; it breaks our hearts to see the sadness in her eyes as other kitties get adopted and go home with their forever families, wondering when it is finally going to be her turn.” Ok, it’s me, Miss Peach again! Down to the brass tacks of my just-right forever home: I do need an adults-only, very calm and quiet home with patient adopters who are willing to give me time to settle in and feel safe (it’s hard starting over at 9 years old, ya know?) I need to be the only queen of your castle, as I don’t do well with other animals at all. Believe me, I have more than enough love to give you! I enjoy fluffy snuggly beds and blankets for naps, and I like a good cardboard scratcher too! My helpers say one of my most endearing features is my little frownie mouth, which makes me look like I’m always worried—it makes them want to hug all my worries away! I REALLY hope you’ll come meet me soon…..I can’t wait til it’s my turn to be the one going to my long-awaited furever home!
